SUMMARY:Scottish Water Roadworks London Road
DESCRIPTION:Scottish Water is planning to carry out repairs to a long-standing issue on the sewer network in Calton to help prevent flooding. \nWork will start outside 48 London Road on Monday 7 July and last approximately eight weeks. \nThere will be a section of the footpath closed during this time as well as no parking allowed in a section of London Road but pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties and businesses. You can find more information about this in the attached letter which has been issued locally. \nThere is no road closure scheduled during the work programme. \nThis has been a challenging technical exercise for our teams and we have liaised with Network Rail and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in order to deliver this work safely and efficiently. \nWe thank the community for their patience and understanding while we carry out these essential repairs. \nOur delivery partner George Leslie will be carrying out this work on our behalf.
