Cash First in a Community Food Setting

Cash first approaches aim to get money into people’s pockets to reduce or eradicate the need for emergency food aid.
We’ve worked with ‘delve’ researching cash first approaches within a variety of community food settings across Glasgow and want your say on our findings thus far!
In addition to this we have added a new Money Advice tab to our Find Local Food Services | Glasgow Community Food Network (glasgowfood.net) map and want an opportunity to tell you a little bit about how it works.
We will also have a wonderful free lunch provided by local Social Enterprise MILK Catering — Milk Cafe Glasgow.
*Please note the tickets will be open until the night before the event but you will have to notify us of any dietry needs several days before the event if you want us to ensure we cater for your dietry needs.
The event will run from 11- 3pm, full details and agenda tbc
The morning session will centre around the the work by Delve on the Cash First study and having your say.
Lunch will follow, then from 2pm to 3pm we will look at the new Money Advice information provided by our map and how it works.
Accessibility
Kinning Park Complex is fully wheelchair accessible, including toilets and their is a hearing loop in the main hall, the room we will be using.
There is also a quiet and prayer room.

There is limited street parking close to the venue and two car parking spaces and a loading bay on-site available for those who require a parking space for accessibility reasons.
