April Update from John Grady MP

Welcome to the April edition of my monthly newsletter. I trust that you are well and enjoying the lighter evenings in Glasgow East.
Parliament has been in its Easter recess this month which has allowed me the opportunity to meet with a range of constituents and organisations in Glasgow East. I continue to hold regular advice surgeries and this month I have visited Sunny Cycles, the Pantry Network and the Well Multi-Cultural Resource Centre in Govanhill who are all fantastic organisations providing a range of services to people across Glasgow.
At Westminster this month I participated in important Treasury Select Committee evidence sessions about the Chancellor’s Spring Statement, which you can read more about in this month’s newsletter. I have also made contributions in the House of Commons at Prime Minister’s Questions and participated in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill Committee.
I am always open to listening to you and your views and as your local MP, I am here to help you so please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help or assist you in any way.
Best wishes,
John Grady

Hello! It feels like Spring has arrived in Glasgow. The days are getting longer and the sun is beginning to reappear. I hope that this March edition of my monthly newsletter finds you well. During March I have been working hard to represent you in Parliament, have provided help and assistance to hundreds of constituents and have been meeting with many local organisations who do fantastic work across Glasgow East. I was pleased that my Private Members’ Bill passed at Second Reading in the House of Commons this month. My Bill, the Space Industry (Indemnities) Bill, will encourage more investment into the UK’s thriving space sector and help to grow the economy, particularly in Glasgow which is a world leader in satellite building. In Glasgow East, I have enjoyed visits to the Parkhead Citizens Advice Bureau, Holyrood Secondary School and the headquarters of the Scottish Pantry Network. I have also held regular advice surgeries for constituents across the constituency in Bridgeton, the Gorbals, Govanhill, Shettleston and at the Glasgow South East Foodbank. As your local MP, I am here to help you so please do not hesitate to contact me if I can help or assist you in any way.
