Scottish Water Roadworks London Road

Scottish Water is planning to carry out repairs to a long-standing issue on the sewer network in Calton to help prevent flooding.

Work will start outside 48 London Road on Monday 7 July and last approximately eight weeks.

There will be a section of the footpath closed during this time as well as no parking allowed in a section of London Road but pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties and businesses. You can find more information about this in the attached letter which has been issued locally.

There is no road closure scheduled during the work programme.

This has been a challenging technical exercise for our teams and we have liaised with Network Rail and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in order to deliver this work safely and efficiently.
