Calton Community Council has been informed of essential upcoming Scottish Water works to repair a collapsed sewer beneath High Street.
The works to repair damage to the 680mm sewer wall are scheduled to begin on Monday 9 January and are expected to take around six weeks for completion.
From Monday 9th January, a stretch of High Street will be closed between its junctions with Duke Street and Rottenrow to allow the repair work to be carried out safely
The City Council has been in communication with bus drivers, emergency service workers and local businesses, and acknowledges that High Street is a main artery into the city. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works.
