Glasgow Evening Times is reporting that Glasgow City Council has agreed plans to sell the City Chambers building and Kelvingrove Museum to pay for the final settlement of Glasgow’s equal pay claims.
Calton Councillor, and leader of the Labour Group, George Redmond, has been quoted in the Glasgow Evening Times, saying “I wouldn’t like the City Chambers to be part of the deal given the emotional attachment people in the city have with it.”
