On the ground floor of the development are two retail units, and the rest of the ground floor is flats. This area is pushed back from the street with trees in front to allow for privacy.

An application has been received for the erection of flatted residential development of 34 flats with two ground-floor commercial units, at the site bounded by Molendinar Street/Spoutmouth/ Gallowgate. The proposals include 4 wheelchair-accessible flats, and 4 of the 5 flat types are designed to have balconies. Private residential space is to the North of the development and includes bike storage. The flats are expected to be mid-market rent, and Wheatly “anticipate a demand from young people, predominantly with employment in the city”
