Safer Drug Consumption Drop-In Sessions

We recently recieved the following information from Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. A FAQ poster is attached at the end:

You may be aware of the Glasgow City plans to implement Scotland’s first Safer Drug Consumption Facility (SDCF). SDCFs are supervised healthcare settings where people can inject drugs, obtained elsewhere in the presence of trained health professionals in clean, hygienic environments.

The service aims to reduce the negative impact that injecting outdoors has on local residents, communities and businesses and reduce the harms associated with injecting drugs and support people to access appropriate help.

If you have any questions or concerns, we welcome you to meet with project leads at these informal drop ins. We hope this will be an opportunity for community members to hear about the plans and have questions answered one to one.
