Calton Community Council has received an application for the refurbishment and erection of an extension to a former Primary School with associated landscaping, sports facilities and ancillary accommodation. This application relates to St James’ School and the conversion to Calton Gaelic Primary School.

The application plans for the school to have 12 classrooms, as well as gym space, a stage for drama classes, and two music rooms. The application also includes space for 89 bikes, just over the minimum requirement of 83 spaces.
