Safer Drug Consumption Facility Drop In Sessions

The following information has been taken from a Glasgow City HSCP poster. They can be contacted via glasgowcity.hscp.scot/sdcf

You may be aware of the Glasgow City plans to implement Scotland’s first Safer Drug Consumption Facility (SDCF). SDCFs are supervised healthcare settings where people can inject drugs, obtained elsewhere in the presence of trained health and social care staff in clean, hygienic environments. The service aims to reduce the negative impact that injecting outdoors has on local residents, communities and businesses and reduce the harms associated with injecting drugs and support people to access appropriate help. If you have any questions or concerns, we welcome you to meet with project leads at these informal drop ins. We hope this will be an opportunity for community members to hear about the plans and have questions answered one to one.

Drop-ins are available at Calton Heritage and Learning Centre on Mon 22nd April (10am – 12pm), Thurs 30th May (6pm – 8pm), Wed 12th June (10am – 12pm), and Thurs 20th June (6pm – 8pm). They are also available at Bridgeton Community Centre on Thurs 25th April (6pm – 8pm), and Wed 15th May (2:30pm – 4:30pm)
