As you may have seen on the news recently (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-66877763), Hunter Street Health Centre has been proposed as the UK’s first Safer Drug Consumption Facility. Due to this, Calton Community Council will be hosting a special meeting, where Kelda Gaffney and Dr Saket Priyadarshi of the Health and Social Care Partnership will provide information and be able to answer any questions you may have.

The meeting will be held next Thursday, 28 September, from 7:30 – 8:30pm, at the Calton Heritage & Learning Centre, 423 London Road, G40 1AG.

The agenda is as follows:
Opening Remarks and Welcome
Information about the Proposed Safer Drug Consumption Facility – Kelda Gaffney and Dr Saket Priyardashi
Questions from the attendees, responses from our 2 speakers

Please do share widely, as we know that this will be a significant event for many in the local community! A poster is attached below too.

The meeting on Thursday is the perfect place for a constructive conversation on why the safe consumption room is or isn’t appropriate! Looking forward to hearing your point of view there 🙂
