Inside the Safer Drug Consumption Facility

With the opening of the new Safer Drug Consumption Facility (The Thistle) only days away, The Herald reports on the implications.

Invitation to local residents

Earlier in the week we publicised an invitation to visit The Thistle. In case you missed it – the information is repeated here:

“Thistle visit- local residents OFFICIAL

We are delighted to let you know that we have a confirmed opening date for The Thistle Service of Monday the 13th January 2025.

This gives us a very short window to invite key stakeholders to visit the service before it becomes operational. We would like to invite you to visit the Thistle on Saturday 11th January between 10-12noon or 2pm-4pm – please email Ggc.Thistle@ggc.scot.nhs.uk to confirm a slot. We would be grateful if you could share this with local contacts.

We appreciate this is very short notice, but you’ll understand our priority is to open the service as soon as possible. We plan to offer further opportunities to visit in the future, outwith the operational hours of the service.

Best wishes

Coordinator
Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Partnership”
