Planning Applications – Community Input Welcome!

Calton Community Council continues to review planning applications that affect our area. We aim to reflect the views of residents and businesses wherever possible. Highlights from recent discussions include:

  • Short term let proposal at Flat 1/30, 30 Charlotte Street (ref 25/01033/FUL)
  • Mercat Building conversion into 44 flatted dwellings with rooftop garden (ref 25/00707/FUL)
  • Barrowlands Frontage and Digital Signage Enhancements including LED screens (refs 25/01037/FUL & 25/01038/ADV) – we plan to submit a formal representation in support, recognising the proposals’ sensitivity to local heritage, their community benefit, and their contribution to public safety and placemaking
  • Juliet Balconies Proposal at 109 Millroad Street (ref 25/01204/FUL) – CCC has raised no objections to these modest, respectful alteration to the dwellinghouse

We welcome feedback from anyone in the Community who may be affected or who wishes to comment on any live application. While most items are discussed at the monthly public meetings, please note that some applications require representation to be made between meetings due to statutory timelines.
