The CCC has received a communication today from the Coordinator at Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Partnership informing us that the opening date for the Thistle Service (aka the safer drug consumption facility) has now been confirmed as Monday 13th January 2025.
They have a very short window to invite stakeholders to visit the service before it becomes operational.
They are extending an invite to LOCAL RESIDENTS to visit the facility before it opens.
To CONFIRM a visiting slot (by appointment only) they are inviting stakeholders to email ggc.thistle@ggc.scot.nhs.uk to book an slot between 10-12noon or 2-4pm on Saturday 11th January.
This is very short notice but their priority is to open the service as soon as possible.
They plan to offer further opportunities to visit in future, outwith the operational hours of the service.
