Here’s some info from the Design Statement which is useful context:
The revised proposals supersede a previous proposal consented in 2016 and subsequent proposals submitted in 2024 at pre-application stage.
The new proposals seek to address the comments received from Glasgow City Council’s in response to the pre-application submission. They also reflect the client’s evolving brief to deliver one & two bed dwellings that meet the need for affordable accommodation within the surrounding area.
On the face of it we support this application, it providing 15 1 and 2 bedroom affordable homes in the current housing crisis, and this being on the site – and in the footprint – of a former development. It is also sensitive to the neighbouring flats. These outweigh density and other possible concerns in our view.
