Proposed New Parking Regime in Menteith Row
Barras South Extension Area Engagement – Parking Controls
Parking has been an ongoing topic for discussion in the Monteith Row area for several years due to the close proximity to the City Centre, Glasgow Green and following the recent introduction of parking controls in the Barras area. As part of the proposals to introduce parking controls in the publicly adopted roads and parking areas the Council have committed to carrying out a community engagement to establish the support and details for parking controls in the area.
The purpose of carrying out the community engagement is to allow the Council to draft a scheme which is supported by the community prior to carrying out a statutory consultation associated with a Traffic Regulation Order.
If you are a resident / business in the area we would welcome your views on the proposed parking controls introducing Shared Use Parking Bays and No Waiting / No Loading restrictions. If you have any comments or objections to the proposals, please advise Glasgow City Council in writing at parkingengagement@glasgow.gov.uk by the 17 November 2024.
