Area Partnership news
There has been a recent spate of vehicle crime in the area. 12 or 13 incidents have been reported. The good news is that the perpetrator has been apprehended. The police are aware of the ongoing drugs issues in the area and ask that residents keep reporting any instances of anti-social behaviour related to drugs that they witness in the area using 101 or Crimestoppers. A recent seizure in Morrison’s carpark recovered £60k of drugs and removed them from the streets.
AGM Friends of People’s Palace, Winter Gardens and Glasgow Green – 14th November 2024

There are doubts around funding and the progress on site but reassured attendees that maintenance is key and future maintenance is being addressed from the outset.

This free, drop-in event runs from 10 am to 10 pm with activities, food and drink, and music spanning every floor of the building. The evening will close out with DJ sets and a special guest performance. Stay tuned for updates – we’ll have more details coming soon!
Also join us the evening before, on Friday, November 29th, for the year-end instalment of @into.theportal in the Pipe Factory attic.
